Delicious food, friendly service. Second night in a row we have eaten here! Will go back every time I'm in town!

We are travelers across Kansas and keep seeking good beef. We found it here.

I'm from Chicago, all you from NYC stop reading, which has the best steakhouses in continental US (CONUS). This is the first steak that met my minimal expectations.

Good service; though they desperately need a professional bartender & sommelier. Great ambiance and setting.

Great lunch! My steak was cooked to perfection. Our server Jose was awesome. He was friendly and informative. The coffee was tasty as well and Jose kept it full.

This place wow'd me! This was arguably the best seared salmon (I selected the honey glaze) I've ever had. I certainly didn't expect that in Dodge City, USA! Also, if you have the pleasure of having Anthony as your server, you're in for a treat. What a genuine, polite, and great young man. You've got a keeper with that guy. Give that man a raise or make him next in line for a promotion! Very impressed all around. Will certainly return.

Great place. Great view of the golf course. Food is excellent. 14 oz Dodge City strip was cooked perfectly. Juicy and delicious. Shrimp and grits were yummy. Fried pickles, wings, and their spiral chips are so good. Service was excellent. Drinks done very well also.

The best food in Dodge City. Always great food and service. Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner.

Very neat golf venue overlooking the course. Our server was young and kinda nervous but she was very eager to please. Ordered a drink and some wine later on. Checked on us as needed.
We both ordered steaks, not our usual meal but the reviews motivated us the dive in. So glad we did! I had the Dodge City strip with shrooms and their home made spiral cut chips! My Darlin GF had the rib eye with a baked potato. Both steaks were medium. They came out and the server had us cut into them to ensure we were pleased... Right on at the grill!
We started with our first bite... Absolutely one of the most flavorful steaks we both have EVER had! We have been raving about our meal for 2 weeks now. Sides and drinks were terrific. Definitely give POTN a whirl! We'll be back someday.

Of all the restaurants in Dodge City this is the one that most consistently delivers Dodge Citys most delicious food, and good service. The patio over looking Mariah Hills golf course is the most pleasant in town, by a long shot. Thanks POT9!!

Super experience and have tried many excellent dishes over the last couple of years. THE BEST! They make Dodge City PROUD! This food is worth every penny, and the atmosphere is wonderful! Put this place on your bucket list, for sure!

Quality food. The Mahi Mahi was excellent. Great apps, great beer. Friendly staff. Classy atmosphere. A bit pricey, but again quality food.

This gem overlooks a golf course in Dodge city, you eat surrounded by natural light and beautiful vistas. Everything was excellent, their wine, appetizers, entrees and service.

Shout out to sous chef "Salvi" for my magnificent pork tenderloin with almond pesto sauce and grilled shrimp, cooked to perfection and rich in flavor! And to our server Gustavo, thank you for excellent service.

Their menu is worth exploring, everyone's plates in my party looked fabulous.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food the Crabby Patty was delicious along with the fresh cut spiral chips fried perfectly. The staff is friendly with good service.

My kids and I were staying in Dodge City on our way to Southeast Kansas and the General Manager of the hotel we stayed at recommended this place. GREAT service!!! INCREDIBLE Food!!! Beautiful View!! Do yourself a favor and eat here if in Dodge City. The steaks are awesome and being in "beef country", that is saying something! Try the crab cakes, you won't be disappointed!

Wow! Great steak, I mean great. Dodge City Strip. Wow. However the broccoli needs a little more cooking. I will be back for sure...well if I end up coming back to Dodge City.

Best meal we had while in Dodge City! The view of the golf course was beautiful as well. Our server Karina (not sure on spelling) was very attentive, and extremely friendly. I came here with my Mom and sister, they truly enjoyed their meals. I had the mahi mahi dinner, it was very delicious! I recommend this place!

I have eaten here many times. I try to always eat here at least once or twice when in town to visit my elderly mother. Recently I came for lunch and found T.D. the server to be excellent in all aspects of her job. The food was the usual... fantastic. The house made chips are addictive. Every time I have eaten here the food is great. The view is lovely as well!

Excellent place to eat for vegetarians. We had a great server, good atmosphere, good prices and excellent food! We ordered a customized house salad (mixed greens, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, onions and pecans). Very nicely plated. Then 4 sides (mashed potatoes, sauted mushrooms, candied carrots and broccoli). Cooked to perfection. Desert looked good but too full to try. Highly recommend.

Worth the trouble to find! Food and service were both excellent in a fast food town! Jim had the Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich and I had the Berger, both with house made fries. I can't remember when I have eaten a whole Berger but this was exactly right!

Went yesterday and had a hamburger and chips. That burger was legit! It was cooked perfectly. The service was top notch as well. We'll be back!

I love seafood but every time I order it at different places it always comes out dry, underseasoned, and over cooked. Decided to take a chance and try the honey-glazed grilled salmon and it was absolutely delicious. Best salmon I’ve ever had and the green beans and sautéed mushrooms for sides were delicious too! I will say the prices are a bit high but it was totally worth it to finally have a beautiful salmon cooked right with good flavor. I’ve been thinking about it all day today and wishing I could have it again!

My first time there in June. Man it awesome food. It's a five star for me. I will go again.

My husband and I celebrated our 28th anniversary!! Our meal was excellent, service was superb and the live music just added to the nice atmosphere. Our waiter suggested a drink that a think was called midnight-rita and it was the best margarita I have ever had!!! Great evening!

Saturday night was my third visit to Prime on the Nine and it definitely won't be last. I went with friends and there were 4 of us total. The food and atmosphere were fantastic! We enjoyed a nice conversation with the Chef and GM. Our server was great and we even had a little bit of live dinner music playing to add to the atmosphere. This is a place to go for a nice meal, not a quick meal. I plan to make reservations for this weekend and take my guy for a nice meal before heading out to see Ron White. If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting Prime on the Nine, don't wait. Plan plenty of time and enjoy the evening. We sure did!!

We were recommended to Prime on the Nine by everyone we asked about a good meal. The atmosphere was very nice. The meal was amazing and service was awesome. If traveling through Dodge City, we would definitely eat here again.

This restaurant has the difficult task of providing for it's appeal not from a vantage of being seen from the likely views of thoroughfare (tourists, etc.). Instead they would find themselves raising the anthem's flag of fine food, service and yes; even ambiance. Thankfully we decided to join many others before us to try and raise that flag just s little higher....
Definitely place the this wonderful dining spot on your "have to visit" when traveling through and be sure to not regret dodging it (get it? "Dodge-ing it?"

We live in Dodge so are always checking out the restaurants. We had a birthday party there and the manger and staff were so accommodating. There food was great. We had no complaints on any food item. Great atmosphere to. We will be going back.

It was an awesome experience Jose our waiter took care of us like we were family! We will definitely be back.

Our group of 12 (4 adults, 8 kids) arrived to the area hungry and picked Prime on the Nine. It was amazingly good--all 12 of us left happy. Some of us did feel underdressed in shorts and t-shirts, but the wait staff was very courteous and didn't mention it.

Did it again!!!! Had a prime rib. Amazing. Can't wait to come back. Damn this place is on point !!!! What ever is going on in the kitchen I hope they are getting rewarded. It's good.

Visiting Dodge City and looked up steakhouses in the area and we found this little gem above a golf course, just north of the main drag known as Wyatt Earp Avenue. Kansas is known for their steaks and this restaurant rocks! Ordered the mussels appetizer, two Dodge City strips for the wife and myself..a thick and long portion of a New York style steak. Man, was it good and juicy!! One of the BEST, flavorful steaks we have ever eaten, hands down! Combine this with two sides and made for a great, filling and memorable dinner. Complimented with zinfandel wine. Service was exceptional by wait staff (Zachary in particular) and the view of the surrounding area was beautiful. They cook everything to perfection with great flavor and nice portions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. You want streak? Come to Prime on the Nine. My 93 bucks spent here (including tip) was worth every penny. Avoid the chains!

I was in D.C. and wanted a good steak. I found this lil gem on Yelp and made my way out. Parking lot was crowded but there was plenty of seating at the bar. I found the steaks. Not a great selection so I went for the RIBEYE!!! Not sure I was ready for the huge steak they brought out but I was excited to see it was cooked perfect MR and juicy. I was happy about my choice. Finished it off. Unbuttoned my jeans and waddled out out. Will be back to try other dishes and play a few holes. Great food. Clueless bartenders on drinks but u can walk them through. Good atmosphere and nice view. Happy customer!!!

All the previous reviews are spot on, clean, nice atmosphere, good service, food excellent. The Chef's presentation of his food was great. Jeremy was especially helpful. I had to call to see if they had a gluten free menu. They had items that were gluten-free but a gluten-free menu would have been very helpful. Not many gluten-free places to eat in Dodge City. Applebee's menu has changed with very few options and Freddy's is the only other place that we could find in Dodge City.
Called to make a reservation and again Jeremy was very helpful and was able to get us right in.
This is a higher-end restaurant all though the food was excellent portions were kind of small. I don't mind paying a little extra if I'm full when I leave which we were not. This is the reason I'm only giving four stars still a great place to eat.

Prime on the Nine has amazing food and atmosphere, the wait staff is friendly, and the view is incredible. I love that they are one of the few places around that actually make their food from scratch. I took a cooking class with Chef Ryan and it was really good! The best things on the menu (although all are good) besides the steaks and seafood are the beef kabobs, turkey avocado melt sandwich, and the chicken friend steak with jalapeo gravy. I overheard a table say that this was the best restaurant in town and I have to agree their food is hard to beat!

I have been here multiple times last year. I was passing through this time. This has to be one of my favorite restaurant out of all my travels. It's a bit pricey but worth every cent. The quality of the food unbelievable. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Heads off to the chief and staff!

What a find! Dodge City has mostly chain and some small local places. A big surprise to find Prime on the Nine off the main drag with a beautiful view of the golf course.

The food was outstanding - fresh ingredients cooked to perfection and great flavors. I had the medallions and my Wife had the sirloin. Also had the Carpaccio appetizer - all were fantastic.

It was Friday night and the place was very busy. We got in without a problem but recommend making reservations.

The waitstaff and management were very friendly and attentive. Overall, an excellent experience - unusual quality in a touristy small town. Well done Prime on the Nine!

We are from the Chicago area, so it's hard to compare, but the steaks were very good. The sides were also quite good. The price was very reasonable for a high end, (yet somewhat casual) restaurant. We had a nice view of the golf course and excellent service too! I'd definitely go back.

This place is a must stop if you are in Dodge City! The food and service is excellent. The view from the patio overlooking the golf course is one of the best in town. My mom and I loved the gulf shrimp salad and the beef satay. Keep up the good work!

Good food, super nice people. We go to Prime fairly regularly and it's always good. Nice atmosphere, especially for such a small town. The servers seem to genuinely care and they always make the effort to make our time yhere enjoyable. The only complaint is that sometimes the locals can behave pretty awful - yelling at staff for minor problems, being generally obnoxious, almost like they're trying to prove that they are small-town hicks and don't know how to act in a decent establishment, and like they are suddenly kings of the world because they are eating someplace fancier than McDonald's for once.

Fantastic Food... Fantastic Service. Skip the casino food and drive around the corner to these guys. The food was great. I took 5 collegues with me and everyone was very happy with what they ordered.

Couldn't find a place around town with food that was to die for until we ate here. Beef Wellington is absolutely delicious! Service is great and the atmosphere is comfortable.

Wonderful food and service!

Driving from Chicago to Santa Fe and stayed overnight. Didn't want anything on the strip. Yelp led us to the local golf course. Casual & very friendly service. We sat in the bar overlooking the course. Don't be put off just because it's on a golf course.
Steaks were tender and done just right. Salads were crisp and fresh.
Definitely worth it.

Excellent food and friendly, efficient service. Nice view of the golf course and a pleasantly decorated, albeit somewhat bland dining room. Had the mustard pork tenderloin and my wife had the filet. Both were nicely presented and very tasty. Being from the San Francisco Bay Area, we felt the prices were a bargain compared to what we're used to. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent. I had their special chicken fried steak. The steak almost melted in my mouth. My wife had their pork tenderloin and she said it was the best ever. Would definitely recommend it. Will stop again if I get through this area again

Great place to go. Food was excellent. Service just as good. I will definitely return the next time I pass through here. Caution... Closed Sunday through Tuesday. Plan your travel well to catch this place when open!!! IMO... Very reasonably priced. Great food and service. 5 Stars easily.

Came to Dodge City to visit our son and he took us to Prime on the Nine Saturday when we first arrived!!! The food was delicious, service was outstanding and atmosphere was amazing!! Hoping they will be open Wednesday before Thanksgiving so we can enjoy another unforgettable meal ( rare in Dodge City) before we go back home in California!!!

The wait staff is friendly and attentive. I have never waited more than 15 minutes for the food to arrive, just enough time to enjoy a beverage. The menu offers enough selection that I have dined at least twice a week here and never repeated a selection. They are also the only place in town that features a few different craft beers. If you are looking for quantity and not quality, you will probably not be pleased.

This is the best place to eat in Dodge City!  The chef and his staff are all very friendly and work their butts off!  He has the best steaks and fresh vegetables year round, when we have out of town company this is where we always take them here.

Amazing
The food here is amazing! There's nothing lacking when it comes to taste nor presentation! The staff was helpful and attentive. The drinks were also very yummy and very good!

Hand's down, one of THE BEST restaurants in Dodge City!  Ryan and Amanda are awesome and have great staff!

Great experience
Based on a couple negative reviews I've read on here, maybe the experience is inconsistent, but I've never had a bad experience here. We've always had good service and our last visit was no different. The only negative mark I can think of is that one of our glasses of water was empty for a bit before it was refilled....

Excellent Experience
I'm so glad I checked Yelp for other reviews before going here, because the negative reviews are off in my opinion. This is, without question, the #1 place for a business meal in Dodge City. I had an excellent pork chop and they have a great bar. If you are accustomed to dining in upscale casual restaurants in other cities,...

Very good food. The bacon wrapped shrimp were fabulous. Best thing I had. Overall good food and nice atmosphere.

Great food! I ordered the Good Ol Boy steak sandwich which was very tasty. Went with a group and all were very pleased with their meals. A little pricy but worth it. The server was real attentive until the end when we were ready to leave, she took forever to separate our bills.

Atmosphere and decor are excellent. Food is great. It is the kind of place you could take someone and show them an excellent time.

Spent weekend in Dodge City from Omaha NE where we know our beef. Family had an average dinner Friday night at another well known restaurant. Heard about Prime and so glad we chose dinner there Saturday evening. Super efficient and pleasant waitress. Prime rib special was the best we have had in a very long time. Cooked to perfection, with fresh and flavorful sides included. The chocolate cake dessert was wonderful. The view of the golf course was perfect backdrop for a perfect dinner. So sad it would be a 6 hour drive to eat here again. We left Dodge City with a great taste in our mouth!
